Question 1

How much gravel will my project need?

Accepted Answer

Coverage area and planned depth determine the gravel quantity. A general estimate is that one ton of gravel covers approximately 100 square feet when spread 2-inch deep. Driveways are typically built with 4 to 6 inches of material. For a project-specific total, use the free gravel calculator. Add your length, width, and depth, and it calculates the tons to order.

Question 2

How much material may I order?

Accepted Answer

Order a single ton for a patio or garden walkway, or choose multi-ton loads for a driveway or construction project. Spread 2-inch deep, a ton of gravel will cover about 100 square feet. For help estimating your quantity, try the gravel calculator or call (307) 207-5216.

Question 3

How does gravel delivery work?

Accepted Answer

A dump truck brings each order to your property and places the material in your driveway, yard, or another accessible spot you identify. Bulk aggregates are moved by raising the truck bed after it backs into the drop area, leaving the material in a pile. You can spread it with a rake or shovel, or use a skid steer on larger areas.

Question 4

Must I be home when the order arrives?

Accepted Answer

You generally do not need to be present when the material arrives. Before the scheduled delivery date, mark the place where the load should be dumped. Cones, flags, and stakes are commonly used to identify the spot. The driver may call if they cannot access the property or cannot tell where to unload. Include any access concerns or placement instructions with your order so they can be shared with the driver.

Question 5

When will my delivery arrive?

Accepted Answer

Most orders can arrive in as little as 2 business days, based on product availability and your location. Deliveries near major supplier hubs or in metro areas may be sooner, while remote and rural addresses can require slightly more time. After placing an order, you will receive a confirmation email with an estimated delivery window. Contact us ahead of time if you need material by a particular date.

Question 6

Which gravel works best for a driveway?

Accepted Answer

Crushed stone and crusher run are recommended for driveways. Crusher run is also called dense grade aggregate. Because these materials have rough, angular pieces, they pack together into a stable surface for vehicle traffic. Driveway materials commonly include 3/4-inch crushed stone and 1/2-inch crusher run. Skip smooth, rounded products such as pea gravel for a driveway, since they can shift under tires and do not compact as tightly. See the product catalog for options available near your delivery address.

Question 7

How do pea gravel and crushed stone differ?

Accepted Answer

Pea gravel is made up of naturally rounded, smooth stones, usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch across. Its comfortable surface and appearance suit walkways, garden beds, dog runs, and decorative landscaping. Crushed stone comes from mechanically breaking larger rock, leaving angular edges. It locks together and compacts firmly, so it is a better choice for driveways, foundations, drainage, and structural applications. Use crushed stone where weight support and a stable surface matter. Pea gravel suits decorative spaces and areas with light traffic.

Question 8

Can you deliver to my location?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is available throughout Wyoming, including major metro areas, suburbs, and many rural locations. Enter the address for your drop site at checkout, and the system will show whether delivery reaches that location. If your site is especially remote and you are not sure it is covered, call (307) 207-5216 so we can check availability.

Question 9

What happens if I order too much or too little gravel?

Accepted Answer

Material left over from an order remains at the property, since excess aggregate cannot be collected after delivery. It can still be useful for filling low areas, making garden borders, or renewing walkways. If the order does not provide enough, place a new order and a second delivery can be arranged. Check the gravel calculator before ordering to reduce the chance of either result. Ordering about 10% above the calculated total can also allow for ground variations and compaction.

Question 10

May I combine products in one order?

Accepted Answer

Each order currently includes one product type. Materials travel by dump truck from the supplier, so different products cannot be combined in transit. If a project calls for multiple materials, such as crushed stone for a driveway base and pea gravel for a walkway, submit separate orders. Free delivery applies to each order, with no additional cost for multiple deliveries.

Question 11

How are prices set?

Accepted Answer

The material selected, amount ordered, and delivery location set the price. Pricing may vary by region. Website prices include free delivery.

Question 12

Which payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

For online orders, we take major debit and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Our encrypted checkout system securely processes payment. Cash, checks, and purchase orders cannot currently be used for online purchases. For payment arrangements on a large commercial order, call (307) 207-5216 to discuss the options.

Question 13

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel an order before it has been dispatched for delivery and receive a full refund. Bulk aggregate cannot be returned after it has been loaded for delivery or delivered to your property, so refunds are generally unavailable at that point. If your order has incorrect material or a significant shortage, contact us promptly at (307) 207-5216 so we can review the issue with you. See our refund policy page for complete details.

Question 14

How can I figure gravel quantity for my project?

Accepted Answer

Begin by measuring the area's length, width, and desired depth. Multiply all three measurements to get cubic feet, then divide by 27 to convert that figure into cubic yards. A cubic yard of gravel weighs approximately 1.4 tons, so multiply cubic yards by 1.4 to find the tonnage. You can also use the free gravel calculator instead of doing the calculations. Enter the measurements to see the tons needed and the cost.

Question 15

What gravel sizes are available?

Accepted Answer

Stone size refers to the diameter of each piece. Common options are 1/4-inch (pea gravel), 1/2-inch, 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2 inch, and 2-inch stone. Small products such as pea gravel are used for patios, walkways, and decorative work. For driveways, parking areas, and general landscaping, 3/4-inch crushed stone is a common medium-size choice. Larger 1-1/2 inch and 2-inch stone can be used in drainage, erosion control, and French drains. Visit the product page to view sizes and material types available for delivery near you.
